Once Vettel catches up on his sleep, I am sure he will be back to outqualifying him.

Haze concerns before F1 night race

I am not sure why worry about it. As Gene Hackman said in one of his films, "I don't trust air which I cannot see"!

Funny you should say that about the air you can't see Sakae. According to what I've been reading you can see the air in Singapore right now, or rather the serious amount of smog they have. There is potentially a threat to the race unless things get better. The smog is caused by the Indonesians who are burning the trees they have cut down, so unless they get done quickly or the wind changes they're stuck with it!

I'm pretty sure this happened last year or the year before and it tunred out okay so fingers crossed it will this time. It can't be good for the people who live there and have to breathe it in though can it?

Well, there is another quote by my colleague about that topic, who has accepted a multi-year business appointment near Shanghai. I had a dinner with him in New York, and he said to me about his new life, "I am fine, all what's left is for me to get used to air curtain in my face everyday in the morning".

So both the Manor's have had big accidents in practice sessions but Maldonado hasn't yet. The world has gone crazy ;)

The Red Bulls look fast here but then as I recall they were last year. Kvyat, Raikkonen and Ricciardo beating the Mercedes boys to the top of the standings on FP2. It's not looking good for the Williams boys either at the moment.

Here's to a good and exciting race

As Seb suggested, Mercedes is fooling no one. I think they just continue to play their now stale, obnoxious and silly games. Saturday I will take a long and quiet stroll in the late summer sun, and as far as possible from all digital media. No phablet, tablet, or ultraportable notebook, and definitely no F1. Just attempting to focus on a topic of some better value, or perhaps not thinking about anything, just emptying head of all those trivialities I read on sporting pages in a course of a week, and which do nothing but clutter mind. There are numerous subjects to discuss of technical, regulatory, or commercial nature, yet we are reading about color of Hamilton's hair. Geeez...

Well, Mercedes does not owe Red Bull a thing. It is not their problem. Don't see how they are to blame.
