In Melbourne they are trialling long lens cameras that will let them spot "distracted" drivers.... Basically anybody whose eyes are not front and centre. Theoretically checking the passenger side mirror could mark you as a "distracted" driver. It's no wonder driving standards here have gone to shit. Nobody has any situational awareness these days because they are too paranoid about being pinged for being 1 km/h over the limit and now not looking in the correct direction.
