In fact grosjean was not happy with his car and we know that lotus car like warmer conditions. But again I think grosjean will make a good move forward. And also webber. I think he will get his position back which he lost because of penalty.

We need some Hungarian bird to be kind enough to fly into Alonso's sidepod, or a nail to kindly sacrifice its life by lying down in front of one of Alonso's tyres for the championship to close back up right now :reallyevil:

You're losing your touch, Focus :p

I predict a very BOOOORING five weeks ahead :yaynot:

In other news. The August break was when Vettel & Red Bull got their mojo back (after having a "disastrous" run of results of 2nd-4th-2nd in the 3 races before that), and I'm hoping, and predicting - that that will be the case here. I predict strong Red Bulls and Ferraris as we go to a layout somewhat similar (though in a much bigger way) long straights-and-fast sweepers circuit with cold weather in the mix. Add in the prospect of rain too and we could see Vettel winning at a wet Spa - something I think Vettel is long overdue.

The Red Bull has generally been strong at Spa anyways since the 2009 reg changes - with a podium (could've been better) in 2009, pole and what should've been a podium in 2010, and a strong 1-2 last year.

The Ferraris will be strong, as will Fernando, but it's Spa.

Ah... Spa. It will forever be one of the great mysteries of Formula One why Fernando Alonso has not fared better there. He had a 3rd in 2007, a 2nd in 2005... 4th in 2008 and 2011, and a retirement at every other Spa GP.

Image
The last time he (dashing young chap that he is) got a victory there was back in 2000, in F3000 - a hattrick with pole, fastest lap and the win. Interesting little anecdote - Mark Webber was 3rd in the standings (22 points) that F3000 season... and Alonso was 4th (17 points). Yes, Alonso was beat.

I predict for the race:
1. Vettel
2. Hamilton
3. Raikkonen (his Lotus will not like the cold, but Kimi's affection for Spa makes up for some of that to produce a podium)
4. Button
5. Fernando (the circuit doesn't suit his natural style, but he just keeps doggedly fighting for every lap and ends up frustrating me as he gets a decent haul of points in 5th)
6. Grosjean
7. Webber
8. Vergne
9. Hulkenberg
10. Senna

Unfortunately Mr. Malders yet again doesn't finish the race as he clatters into Rosberg into Les Combes, a la Grosjean 2009, and the resulting spin for Rosberg means his rear end swipes the sister Merc of Schumacher

I'd like to see how his car handles in the cold, THEN I'll think of putting him anywhere near the top.

I would like to see him at top. I wish he won hungaroring too. I don't know. I think at spa Mercedes Ferrari more capable. But Lotus is best car of season at races I think. If they can have good qual then they can win.

I predict that Adrian Sutil will be seen in an F1 car at some point this season, either as a replacement for Massa or a replacement for whoever replaces Massa.

I predict Comet Halley will return in 2061, in time for Schumacher retirement.

...but retirement number..?

I predict he will retire 17 times prior to this, of course each time making a comeback.
